About wabi-sabi

Wabi Sabi is a lifestyle and attitude that celebrates the beauty of imperfection. Typical
characteristics of the modern Wabi Sabi aesthetic include organic shapes, raw
textures, earthy colors, simple styling, and a sense of authenticity. It closely aligns with the appreciation for the simplicity of nature. Our eternal love for handmade and minimalist pieces perfectly reflects this Japanese concept. We feel blessed to support our local artisans in Bali with their beautiful craftsmanship. Our slow fashion collection is ethically made from
natural fabrics.

About the brand name

The name 'Mysayang' means 'my love'. That
love is reflected in the vibrancy of the natural fabrics, the simple lines, the timeless range of hand-dyed colors, and a natural stone wash finish. Due to the high quality of the natural fabrics, the clothing will "grow" with
you. The brand supports twenty local tailor families in Bali. Mysayang strives for sustainable methods of production and distribution, such as handwoven fabrics made without any use of electricity. They use a one-size-fits-all approach
because they do not want to categorize our bodies into size clusters. Most pieces are unisex.

About the founder

Anya worked as the creative director for Marc O'Polo for twelve years. It was only when the major earthquake struck Tokyo in 2011 that she finally woke up. She walked into a shopping mall filled with hundreds of meters of clearance collections, and only one thought came to her mind: "Fast fashion needs to stop."

She quit working for Marc O'Polo and embarked on a year and a half journey around the world, eventually finding herself stranded in Bali, where she discovered her new home. It was
there that she created the MYSAYANG studio.

What started with a few pieces from collections for herself and friends grew into her slow fashion island brand, MYSAYANG. All pieces are made to order, honoring the sources of
Mother Earth and inviting you to return to the joy of slow living.

MYSAYANG was founded in
2017. Each MYSAYANG collection is inspired by the nature of Bali.
