About slow fashion
Slow fashion is gaining momentum and aligns perfectly with sustainable thinking. VEST, the Belgian knitwear collection by Veerle Stubbe, is an excellent example of sustainability and creativity. Her hand-knit sweaters, cardigans, and accessories are statement pieces that can be enjoyed for seasons to come.
Crafting a sweater or cardigan requires 8 hours of handwork. Thanks to a team of knitters, she can now meet the demand. Each item is a reflection of unique craftsmanship.
About the materials and process
The VEST collection consists of hand-knit sweaters, cardigans, scarves, and hats. The pieces are crafted using the finest yarns
from Italy, including merino wool and a soft blend of mohair and silk. To ensure versatility and creativity in the collection, there are also items that are machine-knit alongside the hand-knit pieces.
About the founder
Veerle Stubbe, mother of two young adult sons, started her career in fashion later on. She wanted to pursue the creative path, but due
to circumstances, this dream did not become a reality until later. The ticking of knitting needles is one of her earliest memories of her mother and grandmother. After several wanderings, including a patchwork store with workshop, she decided three years ago to launch her own artisan knitwear collection: VEST.
