About the founder
The company was founded in 1947 by her great-grandfather, who initially was a watch and jewellery manufacturer. Almost 20 years later, the owner converted the company (together with her parents) into a ceramics workshop. In 1987, following business studies and training together with a master glassmaker from Lorraine, she completely took over the family company in compliance with the requirements for precision and a constant desire for originality. Over the past 40 years, the growing demand for art objects at trade fairs has prompted Fanex to diversify into the creation of painted porcelain and crystal items. Having joined the Ateliers d’Art in 1966, Fanex has since exhibited at the two related trade shows. Today, she uses her know-how of metal and glass in the realization of unique pieces in glass paste.
